Metadevices are an emerging type of artificial optical element, typically composed of millions of unit structures (or nano-antennas). These unit structures are usually subwavelength scale, meaning they are smaller than half the wavelength of the light source.

By precisely arranging these unit structures, highly valuable metadevices can be created, such as metalens, antenna systems, sensors, and fiber optic endoscopes.
